Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology/ Computer Science/ MCA or equivalent.
  • 7-12+ years SAP experience in ABAP, user exits, BAPIs, RFCs, BADIs, OOPs, LSMW, ALV reporting, BDCs, IDOCs.
  • Proficient in basic ABAP, WRICEF development, and excellent debugging skills.
  • Experience in Reports (ALV/OO and RAP), User Exits (e.g., Pricing Subroutines), BADIs, Enhancement Spots, IDOCs, Module pool programming, BDCs, Forms (Smart forms, Adobe).
  • Familiarity with Function Groups, Function Modules, RFCs, BAPIs.
  • Working knowledge of APIs and CPI advantageous, with experience in SAP system interfacing with third-party systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across SAP modules, particularly in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with program events in Report programming, ALV programming, BAPIs, RFCs.
  • Work experience on SAP interfaces to third-party systems, including file-based interfaces, IDOCs, and proxies.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong analytical skills.
  • Familiar with SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, Focus Build, Smartsheet, with experience in project implementation and production support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and code in SAP S/4HANA ABAP across all modules.
  • Train the ESSA Enterprise Systems In-house Technical Team on SAP S/4HANA ABAP work.
  • Transfer SAP S/4HANA technical knowledge to the entire in-house team.
  • Provide input on solution designs during and after SAP S/4HANA projects.
  • Convert legacy ABAP programs to S/4HANA architecture.
  • Develop and implement CDS and AMDP based on business needs.
  • Create Adobe forms for S/4HANA and document developments.
  • Offer debugging support, code fixes, and improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate internally and externally for issue resolution and support.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, testing resolutions and enhancements.
  • Manage incidents, documenting and updating solutions.
  • Support problem and change management processes.
  • Prioritize tasks, mentoring and training team members.
